Top notes are Grapefruit, Guaiac Wood, Cardamom and Cinnamon; middle notes are Tuberose and Rose; base notes are Mysore Sandalwood, Assam Oud, Amber, Patchouli and Vanilla. Blood Sandalwood by Elixir Signature Scents is described as a woody oriental fragrance that reflects on the historical and cultural significance of Indian sandalwood. The concept evokes themes of scarcity, survival and legacy, with sandalwood positioned as a central material of the composition. The fragrance opens with a combination of red grapefruit, cinnamon bark, cardamom and smoked guaiac wood, creating a blend of citrus brightness, warm spice and smoky wood. A floral heart of tuberose infusion and Indian rose absolute introduces a richer, more opulent character. In the base, Mysore sandalwood oil is supported by smoked amber resin, dark vanilla, patchouli leaf and Assam oud, forming a deep, resinous and woody drydown that emphasizes sandalwood’s traditional role in perfumery.
