Top notes are Black Pepper and Elemi resin; middle notes are Saffron and Incense; base notes are Vanilla Absolute, Guaiac Wood, Ambergris and Oud. Amour Cosmique by Maison Douze is built around a prominent vanilla note contrasted with spices, incense, and woods. It opens with a bright, peppery accord where black pepper and elemi resin create a vivid, slightly resinous freshness. The heart introduces saffron and incense, adding a warm, mineral, and meditative character. In the base, vanilla absolute is combined with oud, guaiac wood, and ambergris to form a dense, smoky, and enveloping drydown.
