Top notes are Champaca and Tuberose; middle notes are Jasmine Tea, Jasmine Sambac, Moroccan Jasmine, Jasmine and Vetiver; base notes are Cambodian Oud, Agarwood and Assam Oud. A fragrance that dares to break free from tradition, Melati Gaharu offers a fresh take on the floral oud combination by uniting the enchanting allure of jasmine with the deep, mysterious essence of oud. With ten types of jasmine—Jasmine Auriculatum, Jasmine Sambac, Jasmine Otto, Jasmine Absolute, and Jasmine Grandiflorum—each flower whispers its own story. But it is the oud that truly sets this fragrance apart: a cultivated Chinese green kinam, CO2-extracted; three wild Malaysian ouds, aged 35, 25, and 5 years hailing from Kedah, Penang and Terrenganu; a wild Cambodian oud, aged 25 years; and an Indian oud from Assam, distilled in 2024. Both CO2 and steam-extracted, these ouds come together to create a harmonious yet daring scent, challenging the norm of floral oud pairings so prevalent today. Melati Gaharu is for the dreamer who seeks depth, complexity, and a fragrance that speaks in whispers only the wearer can hear.
