Le Golliwogg

WoodyWomen

Le Golliwogg by Vigny is a fragrance for women. Le Golliwogg was launched in 1919. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacque Vogel. Top notes are Aldehydes, Cloves and Bergamot; middle notes are Ylang-Ylang, Violet, Jasmine, Rose and Lily-of-the-Valley; base notes are Civet, Musk, Amber, Vanilla, Styrax, Vetiver, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean, Patchouli and Oakmoss. Le Golliwogg perfume is named after a character from children's stories of 19th century and the African culture, although today that inspiration and design can be considered very racist. It was launched in 1919 in France, and in 1925 in USA. The packing of the perfume was created by Michel de Brunoff and his brother-in-law Lucien Vogel (one of the founders of Vigny perfume house) - both editors of the French Vogue.
