I remember, with tears in my eyes, my little mother, my childhood, the moments from Christmas Eve, with deep snow and cold. I remember how she baked sweet bread and pastries in the small oven of the stove; the whole room smelled of lemon, orange, and vanilla scents unknown to me until then.
